Blog Post #45 Editing Stage: Two

Today I will be talking about my editing process, and specifically the importance in cutting clips in film to fit the required screen time and cutting out unnecessary sequences. Also I will be editing the transitions in my film to straight cuts rather than animation cuts.

The video shows me cutting certain clips to their correct length and not using any animation transitions. The reason why I used these editing techniques was to better convey my film and make the scenes feel more fluid and creative. But the most important thing was making sure that clips do not include bloopers or anything that could tint the films image. This also makes the films length either shorter or longer and it can dictate wether the scenes are faster paced or slow and calm.
