TRENT - Hello! And welcome to the Films For You Podcast and today I am here with Aiden Garton
TRENT - The Director of the upcoming film The Last Shot, Now tell us what is “The Last Shot”
AIDEN - Well first of all thank you for having me here today Trent. And the Film is mainly about our main character Saquon and his journey to make it out of Bell Creek through basketball.
TRENT - Sounds exciting, now is this for the use of representation in you film or because of a personal experience?
AIDEN - So, this aspect of my film is mainly for the representation with the main location being set in Bell Creek.
TRENT - Why is this important though, what’s so special about Bell Creek?
AIDEN - Bell Creek is a fairly low-class area that is subject to violence and criminal activities like gangs but my main character Saquon doesn’t involve himself because he knows it can cause his basketball future to go up in flames.
TRENT - so, it relates to many people from low class neighborhoods and people who struggle in violence.
AIDEN - Exactly
TRENT - Interesting, but is it still engaging to audiences who are not from areas like this?
AIDEN - Totally, the action sequences and overall scenery should be able to keep the audiences engaged in the topic at hand. But also it allows for the audience to stay engaged to the plot and the overall script.
TRENT - Well that’s all we have for today folks, hope you enjoy the rest of your day Aiden and good luck with your film.
AIDEN - Thank you for having me Trent and don’t forget to come and check out the film “The Last Shot” in theaters soon.
